Patent n. 2010800592841 – Identity card for a new patent in the People’s Republic of China
Patent n. 2010800592841 is the identity and registration number for an important patent issued by the Chinese Patents and Trademarks Office to the Italian company Palladio SpA. (patent previously issued also by the United States Patents and Trademarks Office, reference to the article in the n.57/2014 issue of the magazine “Acciaio Arte Architettura”).
The Chinese Patent and Trademark Office has certified the validity of an invention that is the outcome of a long period of research and innovation. The patent in question refers to a special ventilated frame (TABS® Palladio SpA), whose frame sections give an unusual break to the thermal bridge, totally innovative with respect to the other solutions currently available in the window and doorframe market.
The patented solution provides effective heat insulation, owing to through openings (slits) in at least one of the two frame tubular sections. The number and shape of these openings is the outcome of precise fluid-dynamic sizing. The openings generate a continuous airflow which, due to the difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures, creates a constant micro-air movement in the section airspace, i.e. a heat regulatory action that improves heat insulation both in the summer and winter. It is effectively a continuous thermal barrier that also provides perimeter ventilation along the glass housing, thereby eliminating any risk of the glass misting up.
The purpose of the patent is to open a new path in the construction of high-performance heat insulation frames, which guarantee a perfect seal, sound form frames and strength, with effective anti-vandalism and break-in strength, crucial aspects for the Chinese context.
