LIVING IN A VILLAGE
The renovation project for two houses in the centre of Gussago began with a very methodical and precise study of the historic and typical settlement context of this historic Brescia village. The roads are narrow and flanked by high walls and historic, mainly rural, buildings: it is hard for the traffic to get along the narrow, rising and falling roads and there are some fascinating views of the hills beyond and the quiet hidden courtyards.
HOW TO RENEW BY EXPERIMENTING
The flat in question is an attic overlooking the ancient walls in the centre of the historic town of Castelfranco, in the province of Treviso, and its story tells of a renovation project that turned out to be a real revolution, an experiment, taking each part back to its original rough state to then start again from scratch.
LUMINOUS GEOMETRY
The plan for the office and industrial complex in Bari involved finding a new interpretationfor the industrial “workplace” conditions that are required for “working” with respect to the past, in terms, of safety and comfort in all areas which, in the end, mean better efficiency and productivity.
